I love getting out on local rides with Huesos and my/his friends. Most are variations on a theme, involving El Fortin, the Microwave towers, and the Libramento.
Early starts or late afternoons are best, now that the valley is warming up again as the rainy season wraps up for the year.
Yesterday it was with Alain – he’s riding from Cancun to the US – and we’ve enjoyed a number of rides together. And this morning it was Adam aboard his vintage 26er, for Coffee Outside, or rather, Coffee Thermos Outside. Or maybe, Coffee and Cobble Club has a nice ring to it.
Huesos always loves the company. It’s pretty cute, as he always remembers his cycling ‘pack’ even if he has seen them for a while. His permasmile seems to get even bigger and his tongue flaps all over the place.
Adam is a coffee connoisseur, so here are his coffee recommendations for Oaxaca:
Morito y Moglie, Café Bre, Café SL28 (just made the list as the cortado is great)… muse, I always go to El Volador también.
Gotta trust a man with a thermos of coffee, wearing a coffee t, right?
